This one is the first (maybe second) from the Planescape series I worked on a while back. I had never heard of Aasimar at that point and I was told that they were big, bad celestial avengers. So I went for a look that was scary... but kind. And metallic gold...
It's been noted a few times that I don't show too many males; well here's one of the scarece few.
This is wonderful!! I love the intense eyes..his gaze and their color as well! He does look like an avenging angel...someone I would definately want on MY side!!

Wow this is heavenly, divine and ready to whip out some vengance!! I'm just curious though, is this the Aasimar as in D&D or is it from another origin? It looks really nice wherever it came from. The only thing that looks a little strange to me is the eyes. They seem to be too similiar in color to skin. I'm sure you wanted them to be that color though, so I won't say it's wrong or anything.

Why is that whenever they want me to come up with something as simple as a signature I go braindead--all my creative juices just freeze up
This pic was done for a NeverWinter Nights off-shoot involving the Planescape setting, so that puts it under the D&D umbrella somewhere. Before I started this portrait, I had never heard of an Aasimar... or Planescape. The art direction was 'golden skin and eyes,' so I did a little research and went with that.
*Notes the coloring* My god .... Xehanort was an aasimar!? GASP! *runs away in shock*
Sorry. I hope you know about Kingdom Hearts II...

Well done! I like the sublime expression and the golden tinge of the flesh. I also enjoy how you colored the work while still preserving a certain sketchiness to it.

In PS aasimars are planetouched descendants of aasimons (angels) and other celestials - outsiders from the Upper Planes.
